Support our appeal to create new wildlife-friendly planted areas at the Hampstead Heath men's and mixed ponds! 

Following recent accessibility improvements at the Hampstead swimming ponds, a number of areas have been left as bare concrete or rubble (see below for example). Help support our appeal to: 

• build raised beds, planters and soil retainers to create new planting schemes around the ponds
• buy a selection of wildflowers and other wildlife-friendly plants suitable for the sites
• run volunteering sessions to put everything in place

This will help make the swimming pond surroundings: 

• More wildlife-friendly, especially attracting pollinators and other insects and their predators (birds, bats and dragonflies)
• More attractive for visitors to the ponds
