My Story

This year I am running the London Marathon (again!) and I am raising money for Heath Hands. 

Anyone who knows me will know that Hampstead Heath is not only my favourite place but somewhere I go almost daily. So, volunteering with Heath Hands has been a great opportunity give back to a space I am so passionate about. 

Heath Hands helps conserve 350 hectares of amazing green space in London (Hampstead Heath, Kenwood Estate, Golders Hill Park, Highgate Wood and Keats House). They were founded in 1999 and work in partnership with the City of London Corporation and English Heritage to support everyone with positive and inclusive community programmes including community outreach, conservation, wildlife interpretation and monitoring, youth and school focused projects as well as volunteering and work experience.

I have been a conservation volunteer since autumn 2021 I have seen first-hand the work they do in protecting and maintaining the upkeep of the Heath, which is just one strand of the wonderful work that they do, and that is why I have chosen to raise money for them this year.
